Too often, we confuse fluent reading with speed. It's much more than that...it's reading with expression. Readers should sound like the character in the book. Listen as a 2nd grade student, Nadia, reads a Frog and Toad book with fluency. Click on the link and enjoy!

Mystery Readers!
Many teachers at Liberty invite parents into the classroom as a Mystery Reader. Kids love it when they see their parent walk through the door. Although it is a LOT of fun for everyone, it's when a former student wants to be a mystery reader that's most exciting for a teacher. Neha and Mallory were 1st grade students in Mrs. Stringham's classroom and are now in 3rd grade. They came back to read just before spring break. They have really grown as readers and.....they LOVE TO READ! Enjoy!

An IMPORTANT Reminder!!!
Ben, in Mrs. Witt's 1st grade class has an important reminder for all:
Thanks, Ben...that is an important reminder for all of us. All the libraries can do this so if the Bartlett Library doesn't have what you are looking for, ask the Librarian to help you. They can order the book from other libraries and you just pick it up at Bartlett. I do it so much at my home library, they know me by my 1st name!
Remember...there is never an excuse to not be a voracious reader....just like BEN!!!!
